Many South Africans know Johan as “The Bush Professor”. He fined great pleasure in teaching people about nature. As a 4x4 expedition guide he took lots of people to some of the most remote places in SA and neighbouring countries such as Mozambique and Zimbabwe. His tours focus mainly on National Parks were he also formed part of the pioneering teams developing new products such as the Transfrontier 4x4 trails.

With his great pioneering spirit and love for people he also developed Team Building Programs such as “Contact With Mother Earth”, “Corporate Kids”, “Dream Building” and “The Amazing Animals of Job.”


Johan uses his background in nature conservation to develop programs where people can learn from nature and see how things are done. 

Nature has enormous systems in place, which during millions of years functioned successfully. By closely studding it, Johan started to draw parallels between men and nature and through that managed to successfully pulled excellent examples to learn from Radio Rippel listeners will remember Johan for his program “On Adventure With Johan Klopper” which he presented for 8 years every Tuesday. He also wrote articles in books about “Dream Building” and nature.

In his early years Johan worked for the department of Nature Conservation. His first job was to catch poachers. With just one ranger to assist him during the night, he patrolled a huge area and sometimes became very dangerous, especially during the night. He was later been transferred to a nature reserve were he began to educate youngsters in bush craft.

Johan was transferred to “Plaas Marius” in the District of the Soutpansberg during the early 1980’s. He was appointed as game farm Manager with the responsibility of game farming, game capture, professional hunting and tourism. He had the privilege to take people like old President F.W. de Klerk, Minister Ben Schoeman, Min Barend Du Plessis, Min. Gerit Viljoen and many other well-known people out on hunting expeditions. 


After a bad accident in the mountains, Johan lost about 75% of the use of his legs. This happened while looking for rhinos that broke out of the farm and had to be brought back. From this point on he had to change his whole career. Johan then studied for his Satour guide licence. During 1993 Johan started to develop.

The first 4x4 interpreted trail in the Soutpansberg near Louis Trichardt nl. “The Tour Of Legends” Today the 4x4 industry grew into a mega industry of which he was a pioneer. He also formed part of the pioneering stages of the well-known Kruger Park “Libombo Trail” as well as the two trails in the Transfrontier Parks “ The Shingwedzi 4x4 trail” and “Big Five Rivers Trail”

 

Also will a lot of South Africans remember Johan Klopper for the work he done at Kungwini Sport Adventure Centre near the Bronkhorstspruit dam. He developed the first of its kind 4x4 academy and teambuilding track. It was on this track that Johan developed the team building programs “Contact with Mother Earth” and “Corporate Kids”.

Johan is in the true sense of the word a pioneer and is always looking for something that can be of true benefit of mankind. He is feather blessed with true corporate wisdom and uses that also to the benefit of people seeking for success.
