Born and raised in Pretoria, I was a proud student of Wonderboom Primary School and definitely someone who had a wonderful childhood, even though I didn’t think so at the time!

After primary school I went to High School Overkruin. My school years was a great time, something which I fear children of today have little privilege to enjoy such I did back in the day.

After school I studied drama at Tukkies and directly after that began my audio training at the SABC in Weavind Park, Pretoria. It was here that I also met Kobus Rudolph and Rina van Rippel.

During the 1980’s I did a bit of television work (including Die wel en weë van Thys Coetzee), but I wanted to rather place my attention on radio – in-between my private life and children.

In those days we still had the pleasure of acting in the radio stories which aired in the afternoons. Another ongoing pastime for me was doing voiceovers for advertisements, and I was also an announcer with Glen Kapetanopoulos for the then Radio Jacaranda (between 24:00 to 06:00) during the early years of the 1990s.

In 2007 I made an appearance on 7de Laan as a receptionist at the spa where Kabelo was doing all kinds of shenanigans with the ladies.

Now I spend my days working at a medical institution. I very much enjoy my work and the interactions it involves with the people around me. I appreciate what I have and I’m very happy to have children with whom I can share my life with. They are also, without a doubt, my best friends and supporters, and the reason why I can look forward to what tomorrow may bring!

I believe that children and animals are some of the greatest blessings our Creator has given us, and they are very close to my heart.
