The Mission
Rippel 90.5 is a dynamic, interactive, radio service broadcasting in English and Afrikaans. Rippel 90.5 fm delivers a professional broadcast service in the Greater Pretoria, Centurion, Acasia and surroundings and the Tshwane metropolitan areas. The radio station is based on strong Christian and family values. Rippel 90.5 fm serves its listeners by presenting news, sports, actuality, music and entertainment.
The main purpose
Rippel 90.5 reason for excisting is to bring hope to the community and to reach an unreached world and to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them – through our normal daily programmes such as the news, sports, music, talks, special gospel slots and programming. Gospel radio all over the globe, broadcasts to the Christians. Rippel 90.5 fm strive to bring the gospel through our programming to the world who would not listen to a gospel radio station. We strive to bring Christ to the world, IN the world. Rippel 90.5 fm stands unashamedly for Jesus Christ. “Rippel 90.5 will serve the Lord!”
The Nature of the Radio Station
Rippel 90.5 is a Non-Profitable company, incorporated under Section 21 – non-profitable business – reg no : 95 00979/08. It is also registered in terms of the Act 1997 as a NPO – 076-890-NPO.
It is a modern, vibrant radio station, delivering a top product which competes with the modern electronic- and broadcast media in South Africa. It is an easy-going, informal as well as formal, serious, relaxing, entertaining, educational and informative radio station – firstly in service and honour of God Almighty, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, and then the people – to bring hope, life, encouragement and salvation – through our every day programming.

Language
Broadcasting in clear, clean and civilised Afrikaans and English as determined by the language commissions of South Africa.
Sports and culture
The interest in sports and culture of the local clubs, schools, universities and other institutions are promoted and supported. Sportsnews, results, development, information and local national and international sports and cultural events are covered. Radio Rippel 90.5 also inisiates and supports sports- and cultural programmes and competitions, for the purpose of developing new local talent.
Music
Radio Rippel 90.5 fm is family radio. Strict policies in terms of clean, musical content, the message and lyrics are applied. Music varies from adult/contemporary(AC), pop, rock and middle of the road (MOR) easy listening music. Local music is promoted as far as possible.
Religion
Secular programmes are presented based on strict Christian and Biblical principles. Rippel 90.5 brings hope to the community and its main purpose is to reach an unreached world and to bring the gospel to them – through our normal daily programmes such as the news, sports, music, talks, special gospel slots and programming.
Upbringing and education
Educational and informative programmes are presented on a responsible manner to develop and lift the community up – socially, academically, economically, - as a whole being and to make them aware of their purpose and task in life, in the community and in the family. Family values are promoted trhough programming, seminars and conferences and adult as well as Christian Youth camps.
Income
Rippel 90.5 is a Non-Profitable company, incorporated under Section 21 – non-profitable business – reg no : 95 00979/08. It is also registered in terms of the Act 1997 as a NPO – 076-890-NPO.
Its income is derived from selling airtime for advertising, sponsorships from programmes and interviews, special Radiothons and fundraising events, donations from its listeners and supporters and special events such as music and gospel festivals. Listeners can also contribute on a monthly/yearly or ad hoc basis through our debitorder system or through inheritance of estates or wills.

Die missie
RIPPEL 90.5 FM is ‘n dinamiese, interaktiewe, sekulêre radiostasie, wat in Afrikaans en Engels ‘n professionele uitsaaidiens aan die Groter Pretoria, Centurion, akasia en omliggende gebiede lewer, gebasseer op Christelike waardes,
Rippel 90.5 FM Stereo dien sy luisteraars deur nuus, sport, aktualiteit, musiek en vermaak aan te bied.
Die hoofdoel
Rippel 90.5 fm se hoofdoel van sy bestaan is om hoop aan die gemeenskap te bring en om die onbekeerde in die wêreld te bereik en om die Evangelie van Jesus Christus aan hulle te verkondig – deur ons normale elke dagse progamme soos die nuus, weer, sport, musiek, vermaak en ook spesiale godsdiensprogramme en oordenkings. Geestelike radiodienste regoor die wêreld saai vir die Christen uit. Rippel 90.5 poog om die wêreld te bereik wat nie na ‘n geestelike radiodiens sal wil luister nie. Ons poog om Christus, in die wêreld, na die wêreld te neem. In ons progamme, optrede en uitsendings, staan Rippel 90.5 fm onbeskaamd vir Jesus Christus. “Rippel 90.5 en sy personeel, sal die Here dien!”
Die aard van Radio Rippel 90.5 fm
RIPPEL is ‘n nie-winsgewende diens, ingelyf as ‘n Artikel 21 maatskappy wat sonder winsoogmerk bedryf word – Reg.nr. : 95 00979/08. Rippel 90.5 is ook volgens die Wet van 1997 as Nie-winsgewende Maatskappy by die department van Welsyn geregistreer – NPO - 076-890.
Dit is ‘n moderne, hedendaagse radiodiens wat ‘n top gehalte produk lewer en wat sy plek professioneel en kompeterend in die elektroniese mediastruktuur van die nuwe Suid-Afrika volstaan. Dit is ‘n gemaklike, informele sowel as formele, ernstige, ontspanne, vermaaklike, opvoedende en inligtende radiodiens wat tot diens van ons Almagtige God die Vader, Jesus Christus, die Heilige Gees en die mens is.
Die waardes van Radio Rippel 90.5 fm
- Diens aan die Here en aan die mensdom, ongeag ras, kultuur, geslag, godsdiens, ouderdom, stand of taal;
- Om professioneel en smaakvol as uitsaaier uit te munt;
- Om openhartig, eerlik en regverdig teenoor alle lede van die gemeenskap en omgewing te wees;
- Om eergevoelig en verantwoordelik met uitsaaimateriaal te wees;
- Om kompeterend as uitsaaier en besigheid te funksioneer.
Taal
Suiwer en beskaafde Afrikaans en Engels met die standaard uitspraak soos deur die Taalkommissies bepaal.
Sport en kultuur
Die sport- en kultuurbelangstellings van die plaaslike klubs, skole, universiteite en ander instansies sal gedra en bevorder word. Nuus en inligting oor internasionale en nasionale sport- en kultuurgebeure sal gedek word. RR sal sport- en kultuurprogramme inisieër om plaaslike talent te ontgin en te ontwikkel
Musiek
Baie streng norme t.o.v. die inhoud van die musiek wat op die diens gespeel word, word toegepas. Musiek uit enige land en in enige taal word gebruik, maar plaaslike talent word so vêr moontlik bevorder.
Godsdiens
Protestants-Christelike godsdiensprogramme word aangebied, en die normale sekulêre programme word gebasseer op Christelike lewensnormes om die Christelike Bybelse Evangelie uit te dra.
Opvoeding en onderrig
Opvoedkundige- en onderrigprogramme word op ‘n verantwoordelike wyse aangebied om die luisteraars sosiaal, maatskaplik, akademies, biologies, ekonomies en lewensgerig op te hef en bewus te maak van hulle taak, doel en diens - ìn en ààn die samelewing en die omgewing.
Inkomste
RR is ‘n Artikel 21 Maatskappy en geregistreerde Nie-winsgewende Maatskappy by die Departement Welsyn NPO – 076-890-NPO. wat bedryf word sonder winsoogmerk.
Inkomste word gegenereer deur die uitsaai van advertensies, die werf van borgskappe vir programme, betaalde onderhoude, Radiothons en spesiale fondsinsamelingsprojekte soos on Gospelkonserte en musiekfeeste.
Luisteraars kan ook ‘n maandelikse/jaarlikse of ad hoc bydraes maak deur ons debietorderstelsel, of deur erflatings en bemakings aan Rippel 90.5 fm
